More silverware for Arsenal

So the seniors won their second piece of silverware this preseason, winning the Amsterdam Tournament after defeating Ajax 1-0, despite their best efforts to kick each Arsenal player across the pitch.

A few more younger players who made the trip got some playing time, with Armand Traore mopping up for van Persie in today's match, along with Denilson, who played the full 90. In the previous match against Lazio, Traore played the full 90, Alexandre Song played 72 and Theo Walcott got in 65 minutes. Some good experience for all of them.

The official Champions Youth Cup squad was announced by Arsenal on Friday. Included are newcomers Jack Wilshere (new spelling!), Havard Nordtveit, and Gilles Sunu. A certain click-whoring site claimed early on Friday that we were sending Sunu out on loan. However, no legitimate media have picked this up, and Sunu going to this tournament means he stays with Arsenal for the time being.

I missed reporting the Hampton & Richmond Borough v Arsenal XI friendly. So click on the link to read about it! We won 4-0 by the way. And Vito was back for this one.

A while back I also mentioned former Gunner Sylvain Wiltord was off to Rennes. Well, it seems that deal is off and he's staying with Lyon.

And now back to recovering from alcohol intake.
