Not a lot new over the past few days. Arsenal's senior side have moved on to Austria to continue their preseason, and play their first friendly on Thursday against Genclerbirligi in Bad Waltersdorf. Starting 11 should be interesting with the all of the first team, save Gilberto, back in training.


Defender Matthew Connolly was the author of Tuesday's "The Diary Room" on Colchester United's site. Matthew, as you know, will spend this season on loan with Colchester, and may hopefully...I mean, accidentally, run over Teddy Sheringham's ankle in training. The U's are spending the preseason in Limerick. Mmmmm...Lime Rickey...

Hey-some news on the Waltham Forest friendly! Postings on their message board are reporting a 3-3 draw between 'celebrity' players and a few others in the two sides. Nothing serious as mentioned before.
