Arsenal's Grim future?

See? I can write a sensationalist, click-whoring headline, too. And I'm not even on NewsNow.

Yet.

Strong rumours that Arsenal are about to appoint Arsenal Legend Gilles Grimandi the new Director of Football, replacing Orange Julius himself, David Dein. Gilles has been Arsenal's France scout since he retired as a player after his unsuccessful stint in MLS in the States. Hard to fathom that he's still only 36.

However, that story above also hints that the club will also announce the signing of Arsene Wenger to a "£15m-plus, three-year contract extension that would tie him to north London until 2011." Funny that the club would sign him to an extension mere days after Thierry's weak goodbye speeches where he outlined the manager's "uncertain" future as one of his reasons for departing.

Nothing much else today. Sundays are pretty boring, aren't they?
