The USA defeated Mexico 2-1 in the CONCACAF Gold Cup Final on Sunday. What's the significance, you ask? Well, former young Gunner and now US international Frankie Simek came on in the 73rd minute. Franklin nows plies his trade for Sheffield Wednesday, having been released by Arsenal a couple of years back. Always nice to see our former players going on to successful careers elsewhere, especially the good kids like Frankie.

Another former Gunner making it elsewhere is Jason Crowe, who just signed a new two year contract with Northampton Town.
