A mish mash of corrections and moves

A few little things to bring up on today's post.

Back on Friday it was initially reported that Vito Mannone was the keeper against Bishops Stortford. However, Arsenal.com's guinea pig powered up early and posted a report this century, and it seems it was actually Wojciech Szczesny between the sticks, though no mention of a backup is made. And the line up seem,s a little different than first reported as well. I can't type it all out here-just go read it.

That said, it does appear that Vito Mannone did not impress at Gretna and has returned to the club.

Another Arsenal XI were to meet Hampton & Richmond Borough tonight at Beveree Lane. No reports as yet, but I'll post one as soon as I hear.

Arsenal.com also managed to sneak in two reserve profiles with no mention in the news section at all. They've officially added Gilles Sunu, the young striker signed some time ago from French side Chateauroux. More interestingly, it seems we've actually signed Kyle Bartley from Bolton. The young striker trained with Arsenal earlier this summer, but had been rumoured to be off to sign for Liverpool or Spurs or some other dirty club not named Arsenal.

Not wanting to leave him out, it appears we've also signed a young defender named Anton Blackwood from Northampton Town. Out of the blue, that one.

Faye White's time with Ottawa of the W-League in North America is over. The Fury women played in the W-League Eastern Conference playoffs this past weekend, defeating the Jersey Sky Blue 4-0 in the semi-final on Saturday, before losing the conference final 1-0 to the Washington Freedom. It seems Faye had a mixed final, being run roughshod by the Freedom offensive pressure while making a go of it herself later in the match. On to the Women's World Cup from here!
