It's all about the transfers these days

So the first team has their first major transfer of the summer window, as Arsene grabbed Crozilian Eduardo da Silva from Dinamo Zagreb for a tidy £7.8 million. But what else happened over the past couple of days?

Arsenal.com confirmed what we already knew-Jeremie Alaidiere has completed a move to Middlesbrough while Arturo Lupoli returned home to Italy and Fiorentina. After an initial goal blitz at reserve level that had many supporters excited about his talent, Arturo seemed to fade in to Niklas Bendtner's shadow and become just another striker during his loan with Derby County this past season. The less said about Aliadiere's 9 missing years the better.

Gilberto's Brazil got back to winning ways at the Copa America with a 3-0 win over Chile.

A few more former youth players made moves today. Along with those covered earlier, I believe that where these players are now proves that Wenger truly does know them inside and out. Strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes, favourite pie - everything. Many of them end up, at best, with lower Premiership squads, and at worst with Conference South squads where they can also keep up their plumbing licenses during the week.

Today's moves included former defender Ben Chorley signing for Tranmere Rovers after a spell with MK Dons, while Tommy "None More" Black has joined Southend United.
